The Quill Lakes Watershed long term goal is to manage the Quill Lakes watershed as a healthy ecosystem that balances a variety of economic, recreational, social, and landowner interests so that it will serve the community while maintaining a healthy resource for generations to come.
We strive towards this goal so we all enjoy healthy natural areas that are protected and can be expanded through acquisition and restoration projects;
- Protection of private property and municipal infrastructure from the negative impacts of flooding , erosion and promoting the orderly movement of water within the area.
- Coordination of efforts between the groups in relation to actions and works associated with flood control, erosion control and drainage.
The equitable sharing of costs associated with providing actions and works that provide flood protection, control erosion and drainage activities between the entities that benefit from the actions or works.
